Your day as a Manufacturing Process Operator I

You arrive for shift handoff, review the operations plan, and walk the line: equipment checks first, then a quick sync with the Shift Team Lead. You prepare ingredients, stage packaging, and run the process equipment to produce safe, high‑quality products. Throughout the day, you follow SOPs and cGMPs, track Key Performance Measures, and keep meticulous records so every batch has a complete paper trail. When something needs attention—an equipment reading out of range, a process delay, a deviation—you communicate it immediately to teammates and the Shift Team Lead so the issue can be resolved quickly.

What you’ll handle

• Operate production equipment at an entry level to manufacture existing and new products per the operations plan and in line with safety/regulatory requirements, SOPs, and cGMPs.
• Add ingredients, run blending and packaging steps, and perform routine cleaning to keep the area audit‑ready.
• Document everything—MPR entries, cleaning logs, logbooks, withdrawal sheets, and other records—to ensure traceability for each batch.
• Monitor process performance by capturing equipment readings, evaluating particles under a microscope, and conducting in‑process tests to confirm quality specifications are met.
• Provide clear status updates to fellow operators and the Shift Team Lead, flagging delays, equipment issues, or deviations.
• Actively participate in dsm‑firmenich Integrated Continuous Improvement (DICI) initiatives and encourage others to engage.
• Demonstrate behavior aligned with the Arcadia Code of Conduct.
• Take on additional accountabilities and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

Schedule and training

• Training/orientation: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.
• Post‑training schedule: 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, 12:45 PM–9:00 PM.
• Work may include varying shift patterns and overtime to support changing production plans.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; process technology education preferred.
• At least 6 months of experience in a production/manufacturing setting.
• Ability to safely use mechanized material‑handling equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Comfort working to SOPs/cGMPs and meeting defined operational goals.

Compensation and benefits

Hourly: $21.00–$24.00. The wage range reflects what dsm‑firmenich expects to pay the selected candidate. Individual pay is based on job‑related skills, experience, relevant education/training, and primary work location.
