Senior Key Accounts Manager
Location: FairFax County (Hybrid schedule after onboarding)
Compensation: Competitive base salary plus annual bonus
The Opportunity
Our client, a leading electric utility serving a high-growth region, is seeking a Senior Key Accounts Manager to manage relationships with large commercial, industrial, government, and data center customers.
This role combines strategic account management, business development, project coordination, and customer relationship management. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, helping guide large-scale power and infrastructure projects from initial discussions through energization and ongoing account support.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for large commercial, industrial, and data center accounts.
- Manage customer relationships from project planning through service activation and ongoing account management.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, power supply, and business teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Negotiate and manage service agreements, contracts, and power supply solutions.
- Develop new business opportunities and identify ways to expand existing customer relationships.
- Present proposals, energy solutions, and service offerings to customers.
- Provide guidance on energy-related products, rate structures, and infrastructure requirements.
- Support critical customer communications during outage and restoration events.
- Gather customer feedback to help shape future products and services.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in key account management, business development, account sales, project management, or customer-facing roles.
- Experience working with commercial, industrial, utility, energy, infrastructure, construction, or data center customers.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
- Experience negotiating contracts, managing complex customer relationships, and driving business growth.
- Knowledge of energy, utilities, electrical infrastructure, power distribution, or data centers is highly preferred.

Salary : $106,297 - $130,000
