An established industrial manufacturer is seeking a Reliability Engineer to support reliability and asset performance initiatives across a large manufacturing operation. This position will focus on critical utility assets including boilers, turbines, pressure vessels, tanks, steam systems, and compressed air equipment.
Reporting to site engineering and maintenance leadership, this individual will be responsible for developing reliability strategies, leading outage planning efforts, supporting inspection programs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving equipment uptime and reducing failures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead reliability programs for critical utility and process assets, including tanks, turbines, and boilers
- Schedule routine outages and coordinate regular inspections
- Develop and optimize maintenance strategies for steam generation, power generation, compressor, and utility systems
- Conduct equipment criticality assessments and support risk-based maintenance planning
- Drive root cause failure analysis and implement corrective actions to improve reliability
- Manage NDT-related activities, repair planning, and other inspection programs
- Promote precision maintenance best practices throughout the facility
- Partner with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve asset performance and reduce unplanned downtime
- Support a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline
- 5 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, utilities engineering, or a related field
- Strong understanding of boilers, turbines, steam systems, compressors, and power generation equipment
- Familiarity with pressure vessels, inspection programs, NDT methods, and repair processes
- CMRP certification or equivalent reliability certification preferred
