A leading manufacturer in the consumer goods sector is seeking a Quality & Hygiene Manager to lead food safety, quality systems, and hygiene programs within a manufacturing environment. This role will focus heavily on the implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of GMP and HACCP programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of GMP, HACCP, and hygiene programs across the site
- Drive food safety and quality initiatives, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
- Develop, maintain, and improve quality systems, procedures, and documentation
- Partner closely with operations to embed quality and hygiene practices into daily production activities
- Conduct risk assessments, investigations, and corrective actions related to quality or food safety issues
- Monitor key quality and hygiene performance metrics; analyze trends and drive continuous improvement actions
- Oversee environmental monitoring, sanitation verification, and hygienic practices to minimize contamination risks
- Lead internal audits and support external audits (regulatory, customer, and third-party)
- Train and develop site teams on GMP, HACCP, and hygiene best practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and supply chain to ensure quality standards are met
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred
- 5 years of experience in quality/food safety within a manufacturing environment
- Strong hands-on experience with GMP and HACCP implementation (not just maintenance)
- Background in the food industry is preferred
- Experience with audits, regulatory compliance, and food safety systems
- Strong ability to influence and drive change across cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience with environmental monitoring or hygiene-focused programs
- Exposure to GFSI standards (SQF, BRC, FSSC 22000, etc.)
- Experience leading training or building site-level quality culture
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
