Searching for a strategic procurement leader with deep chemical sourcing expertise who can develop global category strategies, negotiate large -scale supply agreements, manage supplier risk, provide market intelligence, and influence executive leadership while driving costs, supply security, and competitive advantage across a global chemical organization.
- Chemical experience within - Speciality Chemicals, Surfactants, Solvents, Monomers, Polymers, Acids, Caustic, or industrial chemicals, water treatment chemicals, performance chemicals.
- Strong knowledge of Feed stock impacts, Petrochemical markets, Supplier Economics, Global supply chains.
- Develop and execute global sourcing and category management strategies for critical chemical raw material categories.
- Partner with business leaders to understand strategic objectives and translate requirements into procurement strategies that drive competitive advantage.
- Lead global supplier selection, sourcing events, RFQs, RFPs, and contract negotiations.
- Monitor global supply markets, industry trends, pricing dynamics, and risk factors to provide actionable market intelligence.
- Develop and implement category risk management and supply continuity plans.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers across global markets.
- Utilize spend analysis, market intelligence, demand forecasting, and cost modeling to support data-driven decision making.
- Lead supplier qualification, evaluation, and substitution initiatives.
- Drive supplier performance management programs focused on cost, quality, innovation, and service.
- Collaborate with regional procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, and commercial teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of category strategies.
- Mentor and develop procurement team members while promoting best practices in strategic sourcing and category management.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline.
- 10 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Commercial roles.
Salary : $210,000 - $250,000
