Primary Purpose:
Responsible for washing the interior and exterior of District buses.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Must be current Dripping Springs High School student and
- Must be at least 15 years old
Special Knowledge/ Skills:
Ability to understand and follow written or verbal instructions
Ability to communicate effectively with others
Ability to operate safety equipment
Experience:
None
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Student Management
- Responsible for washing the interior (i.e., windows, dash area, seats, seatbelts, ceiling, walls, mops floor, remove trash and gum, etc.) and exterior (i.e., windows, tires, rims, etc.) of District buses.
Safety
- Operate equipment according to established safety procedures.
- Follow established procedures and techniques to perform job duties.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.

Equipment Used: Broom, mop & bucket, rags, brushes, shop vac, blower, and scraper.
Posture: Frequent standing and sitting, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Frequent walking and reaching
Lifting: Occasional heavy lifting (45 pounds or over)
Environment: Work inside and outside (exposure to sun, heat, and inclement weather); exposure to noise and vehicle fumes; work around vehicles and machinery with moving parts
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions
