As a Security Specialist, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment for our client, their employees, and the public. This role requires professionalism, attentiveness, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
Position Overview
- This position is primarily stationed at the guard shack, responsible for access control and monitoring site activity
- Officers will conduct scheduled patrols/tours of the facility during designated tour times
- Must be comfortable transitioning between a stationary post and active patrol duties
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure environment through visible presence and routine patrols
- Observe, report, and respond to hazards, incidents, and suspicious activity
- Follow DSI policies, client requirements, and post-specific instructions
- Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public
- Complete required reports and documentation accurately and timely
- Participate in training and comply with DSI safety procedures and manuals
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable personal transportation to and from the work site
- Must hold an active SORA License
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills required, including experience with visitor management systems (C•CURE experience is a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to conduct routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in various weather conditions
- Must pass all pre-employment screenings
- Preferred candidates reside within 30 minutes of the site location
