What You’ll Do
- Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial automation systems
- Support PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, robotics, drives, and control systems
- Respond to customer downtime and production issues (on-site and remote)
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system problems
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Provide technical support and customer training
- Build strong, professional relationships with manufacturing customers
- This is a customer-facing Field Service Engineer role supporting industrial automation environments.
Minimum Qualifications Required
- Experience with a proven track record in Field Service, Industrial Automation or Controls Engineering
- Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience working with industrial automation systems in a field service, manufacturing, or systems integration environment
- Proven experience troubleshooting PLC-based control systems
- Ability to travel to customer sites (local with some regional travel)
- Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
- Systems integrator or engineering services background
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA, DCS, robotics, servos, and VFDs
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell, Siemens, and similar platforms
- Experience supporting live production environments
This role is ideal for candidates with experience as a Field Service Engineer, Automation Technician, Controls Technician, or Maintenance Technician working with:
- PLCs (Allen-Bradley / Rockwell, Siemens, ControlLogix, PlantPAx)
- SCADA systems (Ignition, FactoryTalk View, Wonderware, WinCC, iFix)
