Compensation: $53,000 - 68,000 plus commission
ABOUT THE POSITION
- DSB LOGISTICS GROUP INC. is seeking an experienced National LTL Account Executive to develop and secure new national and multi-location freight accounts for our growing LTL operation.
- This is a new-business sales position focused on bringing in large, recurring, profitable LTL freight.
- We are looking for an experienced LTL sales professional who knows how to identify major shippers, reach decision-makers, develop relationships, and win their business.
- Remote work is available for the right candidate. Travel for customer meetings and occasional visits to our Stillwater, Oklahoma operation may be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and pursue national and multi-location LTL shipping accounts.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Research companies, shipping volumes, lanes, and transportation requirements.
- Develop relationships with logistics, transportation, supply chain, and corporate decision-makers.
- Conduct cold calls, presentations, meetings, and customer visits.
- Present our LTL services and develop customized transportation solutions.
- Obtain freight information and evaluate potential business opportunities.
- Develop proposals and pricing in coordination with company management.
- Negotiate rates, service requirements, and account terms.
- Work with operations to ensure new accounts can be serviced effectively and profitably.
- Manage accounts from initial contact through implementation.
- Build long-term customer relationships and increase account volume.
- Track sales activity, opportunities, revenue, and results.
- Meet established new-account and revenue goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience selling LTL transportation services.
- Experience securing national or multi-location accounts strongly preferred.
- Established relationships within transportation, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, retail, or related industries is a major plus.
- Proven ability to generate new business and close sales.
- Strong understanding of LTL transportation, pricing, and carrier operations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently, particularly in a remote environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
