The person in the role will perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Responsibilities
- Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials.
- Picking and filling orders from stock, packing, shipping orders.
- Managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
- Working closely with supervisor to complete all tasks in timely manner.
- Continuously improve warehouse operations through the use of lean enterprise practices.
- Assist shipping and receiving with unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
- Accurately package, label, and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges.
- Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer program.
- Prepare any necessary coordination with freight companies and prepare shipping paperwork as needed for each freight company.
- Inspect freight upon arrival to ensure all goods are in acceptable condition, document and signs of damage, and resolve freight claims in a timely manner.
- Perform quality checks on incoming material as needed.
- Assist with pull/pick of small parts and pieces for shipment.

Requirements
- 2 years of experience in previous experience in similar roles or responsibilities
- HS Diploma or GED required; post-secondary education preferred.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Demonstrated proficiency with shipping software programs. Sage 100 experience is a plus!
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of standing and bending for long periods.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately.
- Understand written and oral instructions.
- Forklift experience preferred.
