Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency mitigation calls involving water damage, fire restoration, mold remediation, flood recovery, and asbestos abatement.
- Perform cleaning tasks including carpet cleaning and debris removal using appropriate hand tools and power tools.
- Operate company vehicles safely to transport equipment and personnel to job sites.
- Implement safety protocols by correctly using personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respiratory protection and other safety gear during mitigation activities.
- Conduct moisture inspections with specialized equipment and document findings accurately using industry-standard software like Xactimate.
- Assist with construction-related tasks such as minor repairs or demolition as needed during restoration projects.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on project progress while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Follow all safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and team members.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of emergency response readiness and mitigation procedures across various disaster scenarios.
- Experience in water damage restoration, flood recovery, fire restoration, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, Xactimate estimating software, and general construction techniques.
- Ability to operate company vehicles responsibly and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude when interacting with clients during stressful situations.
- Familiarity with safety standards including respiratory protection use and proper PPE application.
- Prior experience in the restoration industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
