What are the responsibilities and job description for the Handbag Designer position at DS Handbags?
We are seeking a Women's handbag/SLG designer. Working as the design lead, this position is responsible for the development of the Women's product lines for all seasons.
Major Responsibilities:
- Identify key market trends create and develop full lines from concept to completion targeting key accounts and price points.
- Regularly follow up with oversea factories regarding tech packs, style updates, and new developments
- Study markets, shop retail, and interact with consumer to establish trends
- Sources and choose materials for samples
- Present samples as envisioned
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years minimum in handbag design experience, must have experience in creating tech packs of handbags.
- Focused on the technical aspects of bag design, such as functionality, construction, material specifications, and ensuring that the design can be effectively manufactured.
- Proficient in the Adobe Suite (Primarily Photoshop and Illustrator)
