We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Auto Finance Collections Representative to join our growing team. This role is responsible for communicating with customers regarding their auto loan accounts, resolving payment issues, and providing outstanding service while working toward mutually beneficial solutions.
Prior experience in auto finance collections is preferred but not required. Candidates with a strong customer service background and a professional, empathetic communication style are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, and/or text regarding auto loan accounts
- Assist customers with payment arrangements, account updates, and general inquiries
- Explain loan terms, payment options, and account statuses in a clear and respectful manner
- Work with customers to resolve delinquent accounts while maintaining positive relationships
- Accurately document all customer interactions and account activity
- Meet or exceed individual and team performance goals
- Comply with all company policies, state and federal regulations, and FDCPA guidelines
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve account issues efficiently
Required Qualifications
- Customer service experience is required (call center, retail, financial services, or similar)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain professional, calm, and empathetic during difficult conversations
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in auto finance collections or other consumer collections
- Experience handling sensitive or confidential customer information
- Familiarity with payment processing systems or CRM software
