What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Sales Representative position at DRYWALL SUPPLY, INC.?
CUSTOMER SERVICE
· Establish new business opportunities with potential customers through cold calling, telemarketing, networking, referrals, and provided leads.
· Develop add-on business with existing customers and maintain strong, long-term relationships.
· Maintain an organized and accessible filing system for sales leads, business activity, forecasting, and quota details.
· Achieve monthly and annual sales quotas and performance goals.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all product lines and pricing.
· Accurately and promptly prepare and provide price quotes to customers.
· Maintain and update customer pricing and account information in Salesforce CRM system.
· Work closely with inside sales representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and business accountability.
· Professionally handle customer concerns or issues, notifying the Sales Manager as necessary.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
DRIVING
· Must be insurable under company policy for use of a company vehicle.
· May use a personal vehicle for company business when appropriate; must maintain a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record.
· Must comply with company safety policies, including hands-free cell phone use only while driving (see employee handbook).
· Report all vehicle incidents, damage, or traffic citations immediately to management.
· Service customer material needs and make site visits as required to develop relationships and support sales.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
· Enter and update all sales activity, opportunities, and customer interactions in Salesforce.
· Communicate maintenance, equipment/property damage, safety, and security issues promptly to management.
· Follow all company and jobsite safety rules and procedures.
· Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
· Work schedule: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with flexibility to cover additional shifts as needed.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Professional demeanor and communication skills (verbal and written).
· Proficiency in PC systems (Windows, Word, E-mail) and Salesforce CRM.
· Strong multitasking, organizational, and follow-up skills.
· Front-line customer service or sales experience preferred.
· Must demonstrate reliability, efficiency, and accountability.
· Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, proof of personal vehicle insurance, and DOT health card for trailer towing.
· Working knowledge of building materials is strongly preferred.
· Self-motivated with strong leadership and customer service skills.
· Professional appearance, conduct, and work ethic required.
Physical Requirements
· Sitting for extended periods; regular mobility including bending, stooping, and twisting.
· Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. during the work week.
