Company Overview
DRYmedic Restoration Services is a growing, locally owned restoration company backed by a nationally recognized brand. We specialize in water damage mitigation, mold remediation, fire damage restoration, and emergency restoration services throughout South Florida.
We're building a team of skilled professionals who take pride in their work, deliver exceptional results, and want to grow with us.
Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced, hands-on Lead Restoration Technician who can take charge of a job, lead a crew, and get the work done right in a fast paced environment.
This is a working leadership position, not a supervisory-only role. You'll work alongside your crew performing water mitigation, structural drying, mold remediation, demolition, and equipment setup while overseeing daily job site operations.
The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, takes ownership of projects, and can confidently execute restoration work with minimal supervision. You'll work closely with Project Managers to ensure jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to industry standards.
We're looking for someone who leads by example, isn't afraid to get their hands dirty, and takes pride in delivering quality work.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and work alongside restoration crews on water mitigation and mold remediation projects.
  • Perform water extraction, demolition, structural drying, containment, and remediation activities.
  • Assess moisture conditions, determine equipment needs, and monitor drying progress.
  • Set up and operate dehumidifiers, air movers, HEPA air scrubbers, and specialty drying equipment.
  • Assign daily tasks, maintain crew productivity, and ensure quality workmanship.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians on restoration procedures and safety.
  • Maintain accurate moisture logs, equipment records, job notes, and photos.
  • Communicate job progress, challenges, and scope concerns to Project Managers.
  • Maintain clean, organized job sites, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Follow IICRC standards, OSHA safety requirements, and company procedures.
  • Participate in rotating after-hours and weekend emergency response schedules.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on water damage restoration experience required.
  • Experience leading crews or independently executing mitigation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of structural drying, moisture monitoring, and restoration equipment.
  • Experience with mold remediation, containment, and controlled demolition.
  • IICRC WRT certification highly preferred; ASD and AMRT are a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding fieldwork.
  • Willingness to participate in emergency on-call rotations.
  • Ability to meet applicable respirator safety and fit-testing requirements.
