Responsibilities
- Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification using specialized equipment to mitigate water damage effectively.
- Assist in fire damage cleanup by removing debris, soot, and smoke residues from affected areas.
- Conduct mold remediation procedures to eliminate mold growth caused by water intrusion or fire damage.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for demolition, cleaning, and restoration tasks with precision and safety.
- Support construction activities such as drywall removal, surface cleaning, carpet removal, and minor repairs to restore property integrity.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all restoration processes to ensure a secure work environment.
- Assist with asbestos abatement and other hazardous material handling when properly trained and certified.
Experience
- Prior experience in the restoration industry is highly preferred; familiarity with fire and water damage restoration processes is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning and general sanitation is beneficial.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic construction methods enhances your effectiveness on the job.
- Experience with mold remediation or asbestos abatement is advantageous but not required—training will be provided.

Restoration Technician

A Restoration Technician at Dry1 Out is a frontline professional. You are the one who shows up when people are having a bad day and you leave things better than you found them. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and meaningful. You will perform production work on active restoration projects while representing the Dry1 Out standard through quality workmanship, efficiency, and professionalism.

What You Will Do
- Perform production processes including demolition, cleanup, drying, and general labor tasks
- Load, inventory, and maintain all equipment, tools, and supplies in the work vehicle daily
- Keep vehicles, equipment, and job sites clean, organized, and professional at all times
- Prepare work areas, set up containment, staging, and equipment for each project
- Follow all safety, compliance, and risk-management guidelines without exception
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and fellow technicians to maintain efficient workflows
- Complete end-of-day and end-of-job cleanup, leaving every site clean and orderly
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication skills with basic math and computer proficiency
- Previous cleaning or restoration experience preferred, but not required
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 45 lbs regularly and up to 95 lbs with assistance
- Comfortable working on ladders, at ceiling heights, and in confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces
- Ability to repetitively push, pull, lift, and carry equipment and materials
- Comfortable working with and around cleaning products and chemicals
- Willingness to travel locally and out of state when needed
- Ability to pass a background check in accordance with applicable law
Pay & Growth
- Starting pay: $20 to $22 per hour, based on experience
