What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rebuild Specialist position at Dry It Center?
DESCRIPTION
Get our two commercial buildings, 919 Pancheri Dr and 875 Milligan Rd, ready for us to move in: every trade that does not require a license, from framing and sheathing to siding, flooring, finishes, and carpentry, built right the first time and finished on the promised dates, so our teams walk into buildings that are done, not almost done.
Dry It Center is a DIY restoration equipment store in Idaho Falls, part of the same founder led family of companies as Flood & Fire Solutions.
Founder led. Growing fast, on track to 5x in the next two years. Two buildings need to become home base, and the person who builds them sets the standard. When both are done, there is a seat waiting on our rebuild team for the one who proved it here.
Fastest way in: apply directly on our site, it takes about 60 seconds on your phone: https://portal.floodandfiresolutions.com/careers/rebuild-specialist?src=indeed
What you'll be measured on (top performers hit these):
- Move in readiness: both buildings, 919 Pancheri Dr and 875 Milligan Rd, reach move in ready on the promised schedule; the punch list gets closed once, not managed twice
- Build quality: workmanship passes the final walkthrough with zero redos on the first pass
- Schedule reliability: phases start and finish on the promised dates 90% or more of the time; any slip is flagged 48 hours before it happens, never after
- Sub performance: the few subs on licensed trades show up scheduled, the site is staged for them, and their work is verified before they leave
- Materials accuracy: measured and ordered right the first time; waste and returns under 2%
- Progress visibility: photos and a short daily note on every phase, sent the same day, so progress is checkable without walking the site
A day in the seat:
What the day looks like: framing and sheathing a wall at 919 Pancheri in the morning, hanging siding or laying flooring after lunch, checking a sub's rough in before they leave, photos and a quick note to the office, and tomorrow's materials staged before you head home. The building is yours to run and yours to finish.
Who thrives here:
Strong multi trade generalist: framing, sheathing, siding, drywall, paint, trim, doors, flooring, finish carpentry · Self directed: works mostly solo and keeps moving without anyone checking in · Can line up a sub, stage the site for them, and verify the work before they leave · Reads plans and scopes and builds exactly what they say, and speaks up the same day when something misses · Disciplined about photos and daily notes, not just the tools · Valid driver's license and a clean enough record to drive company vehicles · Physically ready for full construction days: ladders, lifting, kneeling, dust
This is a high accountability seat: the outcomes above are the job, not the bonus. Prove it on these two buildings and there is a rebuild team seat on the other side. If being measured on that excites you instead of scaring you, apply.
