Job Description:
Dry Goods Refillery is New Jersey’s first plastic-free grocery store. We are open daily, offering a wide variety of eco-minded pantry goods, organic produce, beauty products, gourmet foods, and cleaning supplies. We are currently seeking an upbeat, motivated, and flexible part-time Sales Associate to join our small-but-mighty team!
Requirements:
- A flexible schedule and the ability to work a combination of weekdays and weekends (especially Saturdays)
- 18 years old or older (college student looking for semester 1 job? This could be the role for you!)
- A strong passion for sustainability and the environment.
- A kind and upbeat demeanor! We want someone who matches the energy of our passionate, talkative, and hardworking team.
- Eager to learn and quick to take initiative.
- Can lift 40lbs
Nice to have:
- Organized
- Experience with Square POS or similar systems
- Stocking experience
- Cash handling
Responsibilities at a glance:
- Greeting customers warmly and assisting them in weighing their containers, locating products within the store, and refilling when needed.
- Maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring that merchandise is well-displayed and stocked, the floor is swept and mopped, the dishwasher is run, etc.
- Preparing prefilled jars, wholesale products, and shipments.
- Assisting with delivery processing and putting away products.
- Working the cash register during busy times.
- Collaborating with the team to achieve store sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service.
