Job description:
Dry Creek Construction is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team. We are in immediate need of a Construction Superintendent experienced in fire and water restoration to work on our upcoming projects.
The successful candidate must have previous superintendent experience and an in-depth knowledge of construction. Insurance restoration repair experience is preferred, and highly recommended. Must have a strong work ethic and take pride in all work. Working knowledge and/or proficiency in other trades, such as electrical wiring, masonry, finish carpentry and painting experience is a plus. Prior experience as a foreman or journeyman will be highly beneficial. Applicant must possess sufficient knowledge to read/interpret building codes, blueprints, and drawings. Candidate must have ability to understand scope, schedule work, communicate professionally, ensure project safety, and maintain quality control.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee employees and subcontractors in all phases of work
- Read and manage blueprints
- Responsible for projects ranging from $100K-800K and up to $3M
- Understand and adhere to local building codes and regulatory agencies * Critical skills include time management, budgeting, scheduling, site supervision, customer contact, communication, safety, documentation, and change orders
- Review daily requirements of the projects, document progress and notify managers of progress and challenges
- Become proficient qualifying vendors and subcontractors including guiding them through vendor qualification process
- Must have a comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices
- Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
- Ability to look at an entire project and foresee any possible issues
- Resourcefulness and the ability to problem solve
- Ability to lead and direct others
- Supervise multiple crews simultaneously on multiple projects
- Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per Dry Creek’s vehicle policy
- Availability to work extended hours as required by weather conditions or urgent circumstances
- The ideal candidate will continue training until they demonstrate ability to complete projects on time and on budget with documented customer satisfaction
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including, but not limited to, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project
- Ability to create and work with Adobe PDF’s
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be proactive, well organized, and have a strong ability to prioritize
- Extreme attention to detail
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills, both internally and externally
- Must be self-motivated, punctual, and professional in both presentation, appearance, and speech
- Able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
- Fluent in the English language
