Position Summary
As a Lab Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring guests have an amazing experience from the moment they arrive until the end of their visit. You'll help prepare the venue, guide guests through activities, oversee experiments, and ensure all safety procedures are followed throughout the experience.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and help guide them to their assigned seating areas
- Assist with venue setup before guest arrival, including preparing tables, experiment stations, and activity areas
- Ensure all experiment materials and supplies are properly organized and ready for service
- Monitor and oversee guest participation in science experiments
- Provide clear instructions and guidance during activities
- Ensure guests follow all experiment procedures and safety guidelines
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment throughout each shift
- Reset experiment stations and activity areas between sessions as needed
- Support hosts, bartenders, and fellow team members to create a seamless guest experience
- Answer guest questions and help maintain a fun, engaging atmosphere
- Assist with general venue operations and closing duties
Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with groups of people
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain attentive and safety-focused in a lively environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to stand and move throughout an 8–10 hour shift
- Experience in hospitality, entertainment, events, customer service, or attractions is a plus but not required
- Must be comfortable working in an environment where alcohol is served
Schedule
- Part-time position
- Operating days: Thursday through Sunday
- Shifts are typically 8–10 hours
- Evening and weekend availability is required
