Drumm Inc. is seeking a Plant Superintendent to lead daily operations at our Cincinnati tank car cleaning facility. This is a hands-on leadership position that combines crew supervision, tank car cleaning, safety oversight, and operational coordination.
The Plant Superintendent works directly alongside the wash crew, ensuring railcars are cleaned safely, efficiently, and to customer specifications while supervising daily activities and supporting plant operations. This position reports directly to the General Manager.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily tank car cleaning operations and lead a team of up to 8 employees, including supervisors.
- Coordinate railcar movement from staging tracks to wash racks for maximum efficiency.
- Assign and oversee daily cleaning tasks to ensure quality and productivity standards are met.
- Perform tank car cleaning duties alongside the crew, including interior and exterior cleaning, valve cleaning, and product removal.
- Ensure all cleaning documentation and railcar inspections are completed accurately.
- Monitor plant operations, identify issues, and communicate operational concerns to the General Manager.
- Maintain a safe work environment and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with plant organization, housekeeping, and general maintenance activities.
- Train and develop team members in safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous leadership experience in industrial, manufacturing, rail, tank cleaning, or related operations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physical labor.
- Experience operating industrial equipment preferred.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Ability to lead by example and work alongside employees.

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
