Towing & Recovery Operator

Overview
The Towing & Recovery Operator plays a crucial role in the efficient and safe recovery of automotive resources. This position requires a blend of technical skills, customer service, and mechanical knowledge to ensure that operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the towing of vehicles as well as roadside assistance, providing excellent service to customers while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate tow trucks and flatbed vehicles for the recovery of automotive resources.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of recovered vehicles and materials processed.
• Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients.
• Manage conflicts effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Experience

• Proven experience in automotive repair or mechanic roles is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly with manual transmissions and automotive diagnostics.
• Experience in commercial driving, including operating tow trucks and flatbed vehicles.
• Familiarity with conflict management techniques to handle customer inquiries or issues effectively.
• Prior experience in a customer service role is beneficial.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely within a busy environment.
