Video Production Intern/Seasonal

Indianapolis, IN

Duration

June through the first week of August, with specific dates confirmed upon hiring.

Drum Corps International Video Production Intern/Seasonal will attend DCI Tour Events, think on the fly, meet strict deadlines, and be autonomous. The ability to work individually or as a team is paramount.

This position is all about honing real-world video production skills and will add significant weight to your portfolio/resume reel.

Role Responsibilities

  • You will be involved with creative and pre-production, shooting, editing, as well as aspects of coordinating, planning and executing video shoots.
  • Distribute content on multiple platforms including in-stadium video-boards, YouTube, Facebook, and other social platforms.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in undergraduate video production courses, or similar field
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
  • Working knowledge of video camera operation
  • Ability to think on the fly, meet strict deadlines, and be autonomous

Bonus Points

  • Experience with graphic design
  • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects
  • Live video production experience

Special Information

  • This is a paid Internship/Seasonal position. (See Learning Objectives for Internship Requirements)
  • Candidate will be required to have a clear background check for the position. This background check will be

provided at DCI expense.

  • Candidate will be required to take the DCI Safety Training course also provided at DCI expense.
  • Candidate will be responsible for their travel to Indianapolis and housing if they are not local.
  • Candidate will be responsible for transportation to and from the office and airport (if applicable).
  • Candidate will be required to provide their own laptop computer for use during the summer.

ability to adjust focus.
