Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings to construct precision tools, molds, dies, fixtures, and gauges that support critical manufacturing processes.
- Set up and operate a wide variety of machine tools, performing precise operations to fabricate tools, molds, dies, fixtures, and other high-quality components.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment to ensure strict adherence to close tolerances while consistently upholding our commitment to safety and quality.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to implement design changes and continuous improvements.
- Take ownership of projects with a problem-solving mindset, ensuring each tool meets the highest standards.
- Perform other duties as needed, contributing to a flexible and supportive team environment.
- Passion for working in a fast-paced, safety oriented, mission-driven manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication skills and motivated to partner with engineering and manufacturing teams
- Solid knowledge of machine shop theory and the ability to fit and polish mold and die assemblies to exacting standards
- Proficient with CNC, EDM, and other machining tools
- Proficient with Haas CNC controls
- Skilled in layout and sequencing of machining operations, as well as performing equipment repairs and maintenance
- Strong proficiency of geometry and trigonometry.
- Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field
- 4th and 5th axis machining preferred
- Two years applicable experience OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Alternate education and experience considered based on individual candidate.
Computer Skills
- Computer proficiency in a Windows environment, with knowledge of MS Office, SolidWorks, MasterCam.
- Able to create CNC program with MasterCam software
- Prioritize safety in every task and encourage work safety to those around you.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work around high-voltage equipment
