We are looking for Medical Assistant needed to join our office team! Duties in Internal Medicine primary care practice include answering phones, triaging calls, scheduling appointments/referrals, preparing patients for provider visits by placing them in rooms and taking vital signs and assisting providers with patient care and procedures. This position requires being up and down from your desk throughout the day. Experience in a physician’s office is essential. Good people skills, phone skills, motivation, and multi tasking are a must.
Primary Functions:
Obtains pertinent clinical information including the patient’s complaint, health history and measurement of vital signs
Documenting all patient-related communication and interventions in the patient’s electronic medical record (EMR)
Supports patient care delivery by assisting health care providers during examinations; authorizing electronic prescription refills as directed.
Performs eye chart exams, EKGs, ear irrigations, CLIA-waived lab tests, immunizations and injections.
Maintains records through recording relevant patient referrals, treatment and test results.
Monitors and maintains supply inventory by placing orders and verifying receipt.
Always maintains HIPPA.
Interacts appropriately with pharmaceutical company representatives.
Must be willing to assist with MedSpa procedures such as applying topical numbing solutions, taking before and after photographs, and turning over rooms.
Schedule is Mondays-Thursdays from 8am-5pm, we are currently closed on Fridays. Candidate should be willing to work 1 Friday per month if we need availability during fall/winter months.
