What are the responsibilities and job description for the Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-A / QMHP-T) | Residential Crisis Stabilization position at DRR?
Be Part of Something Meaningful. Help Restore Hope. Change Lives.
Some careers offer a paycheck. Others offer the opportunity to make a lasting difference. At Dominion Restoration & Recovery, we believe you deserve both.
We are building something special, and we're looking for exceptional people to help bring it to life.
Dominion Restoration & Recovery, LLC is a newly licensed Residential Crisis Stabilization Unit (RCSU) dedicated to supporting adult women experiencing mental health crises. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to provide a safe place where women can find stability, rediscover their strengths, and take meaningful steps toward recovery.
We're not looking for someone to simply fill a position. We're looking for someone who wants to make an impact.
As a member of our founding team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to a growing behavioral health organization where compassion, professionalism, collaboration, and person-centered care are at the heart of everything we do.
The Opportunity
As a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-A / QMHP-T), you'll play an important role in helping women navigate some of life's most challenging moments.
You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of behavioral health and medical professionals in a small, supportive residential setting designed to promote safety, dignity, and emotional stabilization.
This is an opportunity to do more than provide services. It's an opportunity to help shape a culture of care, contribute your ideas, and grow alongside an organization committed to doing meaningful work.
What You'll Do
- Be a source of stability. Provide compassionate, trauma-informed support to women experiencing acute mental health challenges.
- Make every interaction count. Build therapeutic rapport and help individuals feel heard, respected, and supported.
- Promote recovery. Assist with individualized service plans, safety planning, coping strategies, and recovery-oriented interventions under appropriate clinical oversight.
- Create meaningful experiences. Facilitate engaging psychoeducational, wellness, and skill-building activities that encourage resilience and personal growth.
- Respond with confidence. Utilize crisis prevention, de-escalation, and supportive interventions to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Collaborate with purpose. Work closely with nursing staff, licensed clinicians, psychiatric providers, and other team members to support coordinated care.
- Support the next chapter. Assist with discharge preparation, community resources, and continuity-of-care coordination.
- Maintain excellence. Complete timely, accurate documentation and uphold professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who brings more than credentials to the table.
Someone who understands that compassion and accountability go hand in hand. Someone who remains calm when situations become challenging, communicates with professionalism, and recognizes the dignity and potential in every individual.
Our ideal candidate has:
- Current Virginia QMHP-A or QMHP-T registration.
- Experience in behavioral health, residential treatment, crisis stabilization, or related mental health services.
- An understanding of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and person-centered approaches.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
- The ability to exercise sound judgment and work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality, professional boundaries, and high standards of care.
- Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it before beginning direct services.
- Ability to meet applicable background screening and employment requirements.
Experience in residential crisis stabilization is preferred, but we also welcome qualified professionals who are eager to expand their experience in this setting.
Why Dominion Restoration & Recovery?
Because where you work matters. And so does the work you do.
We're intentional about building an environment where the people providing care are valued just as much as the people receiving it.
