What are the responsibilities and job description for the DJI M300 Drone Pilot (Aerial Photography and Photogrammetry Data Collection) position at Dronalytics LLC?
We’re hiring an experienced, licensed drone pilot for high-end aerial data collection work, including mapping and LiDAR capture. This is a professional field role supporting engineering-grade deliverables and large-area acquisition workflows.
We are currently seeking a qualified drone pilot equipped with a DJI Matrice 300 (or higher) and a Zenmuse P1 sensor. The ideal candidate is experienced in executing precise flight plans, capturing high-quality, reliable datasets, and operating in diverse outdoor environments with varying terrain and conditions.
Pilots should also have access to a base station (RTK/PPK workflow) and be proficient in placing and surveying Ground Control Points (GCPs), including accurate data collection and documentation.
Compensation may increase based on the scope of work (SOW).

Responsibilities
- Execute high-accuracy drone mapping missions (photogrammetry LiDAR)
- Capture raw geotagged imagery/ video and supporting flight data/logs
- Maintain consistent data quality standards (overlap, coverage, accuracy)
- Operate safely and professionally around public spaces and active areas
- Coordinate with project management on schedule and field requirements
Requirements
- FAA Part 107 certification (required)
- DJI Matrice 300 (or higher) and a Zenmuse P1 sensor
- base station (RTK/PPK workflow) and Ground Control Points (GCPs)
- Proven experience with mapping and/or LiDAR operations
- Familiarity with RTK/PPK workflows preferred
- Ability to follow strict capture specifications and deliver complete datasets
- Reliable transportation and availability for scheduled fieldwork
- Must carry liability insurance or be able to provide proof of coverage
