Job Description:

Job Title: Senior Scrum Master – Telecom Domain

Location: St Louis, MO (Onsite)

Duration: Long Term

Rate: $65/hr on W2 / $77/hr on C2C

Position Summary

The Senior Scrum Master plays a key leadership role in driving Agile maturity across multiple Scrum teams. This position is responsible for guiding, coaching, and facilitating teams to deliver high-quality products efficiently while promoting Agile values, principles, and best practices. The Senior Scrum Master acts as a leader and change agent, ensuring continuous improvement, collaboration, and delivery excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Facilitation & Delivery
• Lead and facilitate multiple Scrum teams through all Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives).
• Ensure teams remain focused on delivering high-value increments aligned with business priorities.
• Remove impediments and blockers to ensure smooth delivery.
• Track and report on delivery metrics (velocity, burndown, predictability, etc.) to stakeholders.
• Coaching & Mentoring
• Coach Scrum teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile and Scrum best practices.
• Mentor less experienced Scrum Masters and contribute to Agile community of practice.
• Guide teams toward self-organization, cross-functionality, and continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Management
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to align on priorities and delivery timelines.
• Facilitate transparent communication and manage expectations around progress and risks.
• Promote trust and partnership between technical and non-technical teams.
• Continuous Improvement
• Drive Agile maturity and continuous improvement initiatives across teams and departments.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team performance and product quality.
• Foster a culture of learning, experimentation, and accountability.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, including 2 years in a senior or lead role managing multiple Agile teams.
• Proven experience in scaled Agile environments (e.g., SAFe, LeSS, or Nexus).
• Background in software development or IT project delivery preferred.
• Certifications (one or more preferred)
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II).
• SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM).
• PMI-ACP, ICP-ACC, or equivalent Agile coaching certifications.

Skills & Competencies

• Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP) and Lean principles.
• Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and servant leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Data-driven mindset with experience in Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally).
• Proven ability to drive Agile transformation and cultural change.
