DRMP's Surveying & Mapping/Geomatics Division is HIRING and we're looking for entry-level, Survey Field Technicians to join our St. Augustine office.

- Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday (10-hour shifts); Potential for Overtime
Your Primary Responsibilities will include
- Load truck with the necessary equipment and supplies that are needed throughout the day.
- Transport and set up the instruments/equipment and prepare the job site for the survey.
- Clear brush and trees away from the survey line.
- Hold the prism pole steady for the surveyor to help determine elevations of different points.
- Measure how far different points are from each other, using tape or electronic equipment; Help with the various pieces of survey equipment.
- Have familiarity/working knowledge of survey equipment.
- Operate the surveying equipment with the supervisor's oversight.
What you'll need
- High School and/or specialized training from a vocational or technical school.
- Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required.
- Ability to travel
- Ability to carry and lift equipment as needed on the project.
- Ability to cut and/or clear brush while establishing survey lines. (machete use)
- Adequate knowledge of equipment and the ability to set up for various types of work.
- Ability to hold and proficiently use a prism pole, rods, and other measuring devices.
- Ability to lift the pieces of equipment required for a project.
