Pay Range: $30–$34 per hour
Schedule: 8–12 hour shifts depending on workload; night shifts and out‑of‑town work as required
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, safety‑focused Heavy Equipment Lube Technician to perform preventative maintenance on a wide variety of heavy construction and mining equipment. This role involves traveling to job sites across Wyoming and South Dakota to conduct inspections, service components, and complete routine maintenance tasks. Candidates with prior lube technician or equipment maintenance experience are preferred, though training may be provided for qualified applicants.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company service trucks, pull trailers, and handle miscellaneous equipment.
- Review maintenance reports and schedules to plan and prioritize preventative service tasks.
- Travel to local job sites and company locations to perform maintenance and component inspections.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance, including:
- Visual/walk‑around inspections
- Checking, changing, sampling, and documenting fluids
- Checking and changing filters
- Tire air pressure adjustments
- Measuring and recording wear items and other components
- Lubricating/greasing equipment
- Washing and cleaning machinery
- Perform small repairs when necessary.
- Complete accurate paper logs and digital reports through fleet maintenance systems.
- Help monitor and maintain inventory of parts, tools, and supplies.
- Follow supervisor direction and work effectively as part of a team.
- Keep work areas and service vehicles clean, organized, and well‑maintained.
- Follow all applicable safety and environmental policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
- Perform general labor or other related tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving and background record; CDL and hazmat endorsement preferred.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and complete tasks efficiently.
- Ability to lift or pull up to 50 lbs and work in awkward or confined spaces around heavy equipment.
- Ability to wear PPE including goggles, face shields, and gloves.
- Basic hand‑tool and trades‑tool proficiency.
- General mechanical knowledge.
