Controller

The Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring the accuracy of financial information, maintaining internal controls, and leading the accounting team. This role plays a key part in financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Coordinate and direct budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Collaborate with external auditors for the annual audit.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support executive decision-making.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff; build a high-performing finance team.
• Improve accounting processes and systems for scalability and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency with accounting software QuickBooks, NetSuite and Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience in car rental industry preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• CPA certification.
• Experience with ERP implementation or system upgrades.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive salary based on experience ($120,000 - $140,000)
• Performance-based bonus.
