Weekend Driving Instructor

Driving Under Intelligence DUI & Defensive Driving School LLC is a growing, professional driving school serving the Atlanta area. As our student enrollment and behind-the-wheel lesson demand continue to increase, we are looking for a dependable and professional Driving Instructor to join our team and help manage our weekend driving schedule.

This position is ideal for someone looking for flexible weekend work and additional income. Our greatest need is currently Saturdays and Sundays, with the opportunity for additional hours as the business continues to grow.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional behind-the-wheel driving instruction to students of varying experience levels.
• Teach safe driving habits, vehicle control, parking, roadway navigation, defensive driving techniques, and preparation for independent driving.
• Provide patient, clear, and constructive instruction to beginner and experienced drivers.
• Maintain a safe learning environment during all driving lessons.
• Follow company policies and Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) requirements.
• Communicate professionally with students, parents/guardians, and school management.
• Complete required lesson documentation and student progress reports.
• Maintain punctuality and reliability for scheduled lessons.

Schedule

Weekend availability is strongly preferred.

Our primary need is:

• Saturdays
• Sundays

This position is a great fit for someone who already works during the week and would like consistent weekend hours. Additional weekday opportunities may become available.

Georgia DDS Instructor Certification

Applicants who are already certified by the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) are encouraged to apply.

Not currently certified? We are still interested in speaking with you.

The right candidate can complete the required process to become a Georgia DDS-certified driving instructor, which includes a background check and applicable DDS application requirements.

Driving Under Intelligence may assist qualified candidates with the $25 DDS application fee. Candidates whose certification costs are sponsored by our company may be required to make an agreed-upon employment commitment to Driving Under Intelligence.

Candidates who choose to independently pay for and obtain their certification may retain the flexibility to work with other eligible driving schools, subject to applicable DDS rules and requirements.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

• Patient and comfortable teaching new drivers
• Dependable and punctual
• Professional and safety-conscious
• Confident behind the wheel
• Able to give clear directions and remain calm in stressful situations
• Comfortable working with teenagers and adults
• Available consistently on weekends
• Interested in growing with a developing driving school

Prior teaching, driving instruction, transportation, education, public safety, or customer-service experience is a plus, but we are willing to consider the right candidate who is willing to become properly certified.

Driving Under Intelligence DUI & Defensive Driving School LLC is a Georgia DDS-certified driving school headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. We provide Driver’s Education/Joshua’s Law instruction, behind-the-wheel training, Defensive Driving courses, and DUI Risk Reduction services.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking to build a reliable team of instructors who care about creating safer and more confident drivers.
