Responsibilities

• Teach students how to safely operate commercial vehicles
• Provide hands-on CDL training in both yard and road environments
• Prepare students for the CDL road test and pre-trip inspection
• Conduct structured driving instruction aligned with CDL training standards
• Assist students with CDL test preparation and skill development
• Ensure all training complies with FMCSA and CDL training requirements
• Share real-world driving experience and safety practices
• Mentor and support students throughout their training journey

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license required
• CDL B with Passenger endorsement (CDL B P) also accepted
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred
• Clean driving record strongly preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, patient, and safety-focused mindset
• Ability to mentor and guide new drivers entering the industry
• Previous teaching or training experience is a plus but not required

Full-Time Position
Preferred schedule includes afternoons and evening shifts

This role is based locally in Hauppauge, Long Island.
