Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Deck Builder to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing durable, safe, and visually appealing decks that meet client specifications. Your expertise will help transform outdoor spaces into functional and beautiful areas for relaxation and entertainment.
Responsibilities
- construction plans to ensure accurate deck design and layout building frameworks and install framing using carpentry skills, including woodworking, trim carpentry, .
- Install various deck components such as posts, beams, joists, decking boards, railings, and stairs with precision and attention to detail.
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely to cut, shape, and assemble materials efficiently.
- Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, and concrete finishing as needed for foundational elements of decks.
- Apply siding, stucco, or other exterior finishes to enhance durability and aesthetics of the deck structure.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and project timelines while maintaining a clean work environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on deck building or related carpentry roles.
- Strong knowledge concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry techniques.
- Skilled installatio and follow schematics for precise construction.
- Proficient with hand tools such as saws, hammers, drills; power tools; heavy equipment operation; and scaffolding setup.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, climbing ladders or scaffolding, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent understanding of construction management principles to coordinate tasks efficiently on-site.
