What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist position at Driven Metalworks LLC?
We are a rapidly growing company looking for an CNC Machinist. Our business primarily consists of Mazak machines. We are looking for a motivated candidate who is looking to hit the ground running, Our work consists of approximately 50% production machining and 50% job-shop style work. The machinist we are looking for should be capable of programming mazak conversational, set up and operating. We offer a highly competitive pay scale and benefits package.
Responsibilities for CNC machinist
· Ability to make and/or recommend adjustment to regulate part configuration both manually and through machine controls along with the understanding of machine shop math to perform needed calculations
· Setup to produce parts and tools from metal, plastic and other materials
· Comprehend drawings, specifications, process sheets, and shop orders to plan and check work
· Obtain proper set of tools, select tool holders, mount, secure, and check tools for accuracy, make necessary calculations for tool depth and tool compensation adjustments
· Reliably pick up work offsets in a repeatable manner for production runs
· Machine and build tooling to support product manufacturing
· Set up machines such that they can be handed off to a Machine operator for production runs
Qualifications for CNC machinist
· Create CNC programs for Mazak mills and lathes, and to set up perform machining operations.
· 1 years Mazatrol Programming
· EIA Programming/Ability to edit and run EIA posts
· 2 years experience in CNC Machinist role
· Familiarity with 3 1 and 4 axis milling
· Familiarity with Renishaw probes on CNC mills
· Ability to use micrometer, calipers, height gages, and various other metrology equipment to check parts
· Machinist math skills and the ability to calculate feeds and speeds required
· Set up and perform machining operations on mills and lathes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
