Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and performing automotive surface preparation to ensure optimal adhesion of vinyl graphics.
- Measure and mark vehicle surfaces accurately to align graphics properly before installation.
- Apply vinyl graphics using hand tools and power tools, ensuring smooth, bubble-free finishes with attention to detail.
- Use surface preparation masking techniques and sanding tools to achieve a clean, professional look.
- Operate spray guns for painting or coating touch-ups when necessary to complement graphic applications.
- Utilize respiratory protection equipment during installation processes involving adhesives or paints.
- Conduct quality checks post-installation to verify alignment, adhesion, and overall appearance of the graphics.
Experience
- Prior dealership or automotive shop experience preferred, with a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and auto body repair processes.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, grinders, sanders, buffing machines, and auto painting equipment such as spray guns and airless paint sprayers.
- Knowledge of automotive buffing, auto restoration, auto glass installation, and detailing is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with welding or mechanical knowledge is a plus for working on vehicle surfaces or structural components.
- Demonstrated ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with auto estimating experience are beneficial for client interactions.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions for surface preparation masking and graphic placement.
