Special Event Server

Position Summary

The Special Event Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests during resort functions and events. This position requires attention to detail, professional presentation, and the ability to deliver service in accordance with the resort’s standards of excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms and event spaces according to event orders and resort standards.
• Provide courteous, professional food and beverage service during large weddings, banquets, meetings, and special events.
• Serve plated meals, buffets, and beverages efficiently and accurately.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to guest needs and requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas at all times.
• Break down banquet setups and return equipment and supplies to designated areas.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures in compliance with local regulations and resort policies.
• Collaborate with banquet captains, kitchen staff, and fellow servers to ensure seamless event execution.
• Maintain a polished, professional appearance and represent the resort brand with excellence.

Qualifications

• Prior banquet, catering, or fine dining service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; must be able to lift up to [20 lbs].
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedule.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in banquet halls, meeting rooms, outdoor spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Requires extended periods of standing, carrying trays, and walking.
• Exposure to food and beverage service equipment and varying temperatures.
