About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to lead and manage the Company’s financial reporting functions. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic financial decisions, collaborate closely with senior leadership, and play a key part in shaping the financial future of a company.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Statement Preparation: Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
- Develop and maintain weekly and monthly KPI dashboards.
- Support the preparation of the financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A disclosures for quarterly and annual management reporting as well as other financial regulatory filings, as needed.
- Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial reporting processes and enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial data.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as Finance, Accounting, and Legal to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Participate in special projects and perform ad hoc financial analysis as required.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in financial reporting or accounting
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of US GAAP; experience with financial reporting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workiva, NSPB) and Point-of-Sale systems (e.g. Toast, Tock, etc.)
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively conveying complex financial information to diverse stakeholders.
