Summary (Major Purpose of the Role): Inventory control/count parts/items as required
Main Activities/Responsibilities
- Count items as per scheduling methods (A – monthly; B – bi-monthly; C-annually)
- Perform count as requested by supervisor and others; perform negative counts; perform follow up counts
- Continually contribute to departmental and companywide improvements
- Cycle Count and dispose of obsolete materials as requested
- Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
- Working knowledge of personal computing including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- AX & SAP knowledge, including inventory control & cycle counting
- This position works independently under the supervision of the plant manager or his designee. Most areas of responsibility are reviewed daily based on inventory needs.
- High School diploma or GED required
- One year experience with counting inventory, preferred
- Enforces and adheres to all health and safety regulations, including OSHA, GMP, HACCP, and equipment-specific security rules.
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk unassisted for prolonged periods of time.
- Physical activity includes reaching, twisting, and bending; frequent lifting of average to heavy weight material up to 50 pounds unassisted and over 50 pounds assisted.
- Must have good manual dexterity and the use of two hands required.
- Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, push, and pull several types of items without difficulty.
- Perform activities in manufacturing and warehouse environments. May be subject to changes in temperature.
