About The Role
The student intern will support Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives by completing both task-based and project-based work across the Skokie facility.
Key Responsibilities
The base pay for internships ranges between $23.50 - $33.50/hr. Factors, such as but not limited to, whether the role is technical or non-technical and education level may impact the pay for this position.

About The Role
The student intern will support Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives by completing both task-based and project-based work across the Skokie facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct time studies, process observations, and data collection on key production and transactional processes.
- Assist in updating standard work documentation, process flow maps, and training materials.
- Support ongoing Tier management activities such as KPI tracking, visual board updates, and performance trend analysis.
- Lead or co-leading small CI projects such as waste elimination activities, workflow redesign, 5S improvements, and digital data-tracking enhancements.
- Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline, Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and take initiative on new tasks
- Able to work in an engaging, fast-paced, and learning-oriented environment
- Understanding of cycle time studies.
- Knowledge of basic lean tools like 5S, 5 WHY, Fishbone, Kaizen, process map and visual daily management.
- Understanding of Process maps & how to create one.
- Proficiency using excel & can perform data analysis.
- Proficient using MS visio to help create process maps.
- Understanding of Kaizen structure- how kaizens are conducted, how team forming is done, and how to plan for kaizen.
- Previous co-op or internship experience preferred.
