- Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.
- Adheres to hospital policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines.
- Reviews production sheets to determine type and quantities of meats, vegetables, soups, and desserts to be prepared.
- Prepares foods in accordance to diet restrictions when applicable.
- Follows standardized recipes when preparing foods.
- Assists in procuring needed items from designated areas.
- Cooks on grill areas of the cafeteria during meal service as assigned.
- Ensures food will be ready for specified mealtimes by following cooking schedules.
- Confers with Supervisor and/or Dietitians regarding modified diet preparations.
- Sets up patient trayline and cafeteria lines according to menu combinations and assist on patient trayline as needed.
- Maintains cooking area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Follows sanitation procedures in all food preparations.
- Notifies Head Chef and/or Coordinator with any food shortages.
- Completes special cleaning assignments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Food Handlers Permit
