Job Summary
Functional Infusions is looking for a hands-on Equipment Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the machinery used in our beverage manufacturing facility.
Our equipment includes canning and filling lines, labelers, PakTech applicators, conveyors, pumps, compressors, date coders, packaging equipment, and other small production machines. This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys diagnosing problems, and can keep production equipment running reliably.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on beverage-production and packaging equipment
- Maintain canning lines, labelers, PakTech applicators, conveyors, pumps, motors, compressors, and related machinery
- Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, adjustments, and equipment inspections
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime
- Replace worn or damaged components, including bearings, belts, sensors, switches, valves, motors, and pneumatic parts
- Troubleshoot basic electrical controls, sensors, wiring, and control panels
- Set up, adjust, and test equipment for different cans, labels, packages, and production runs
- Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend practical improvements
- Maintain an organized inventory of tools, spare parts, and commonly used components
- Document repairs and preventive-maintenance work
- Work with production employees and equipment manufacturers to resolve technical issues
- Help install, assemble, and commission new equipment
- Follow all workplace safety, food-safety, and sanitation requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience repairing production, packaging, manufacturing, farm, automotive, or similar mechanical equipment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of motors, pumps, bearings, belts, chains, conveyors, sensors, and pneumatic systems
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment
- Able to work independently and prioritize repairs during production
- Willing to learn unfamiliar machines and communicate with equipment manufacturers when needed
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
Experience with beverage canning lines, labelers, PakTech applicators, PLC-controlled equipment, welding, fabrication, refrigeration, or food-manufacturing equipment is helpful but not required.
Pay: $24.61 - $29.84 per hour
