Machinist – CNC Setup & Operation
Location: Assonet, MA (On-site)
Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on experience)
Job Type: Full-time | Day Shift | Monday – Friday

What You'll Do
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, water jets, and other production machines
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical specs to ensure accuracy
- Adjust tooling, feeds, speeds, and offsets to achieve required tolerances
- Provide support and guidance to other machinists as needed
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to troubleshoot issues and improve workflow
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools
- Perform routine maintenance and assist with equipment troubleshooting
- Maintain detailed records and ensure safety and cleanliness of your work area
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- 2 years of hands-on CNC machining experience, including setups
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc and/or Haas controls
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow complex machining instructions
- Familiarity with high-mix, low-volume production
- Skilled with measurement tools and inspection techniques
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift
- A helpful, collaborative attitude — willing to share knowledge when needed
Bonus Points For:
- Associate degree or certification in machining or manufacturing
- Experience working with multi-axis or multi-tasking CNC machines
- Background in fabrication or mechanical assembly
