Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to our animal patients and supporting veterinarians in various clinical tasks. Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze samples.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor animal patients' vital signs and overall health.
- Conduct animal catheterization and assist in veterinary critical care procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Provide pet care education to clients regarding nutrition, behavior, and general health.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during surgical procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Support kennel operations by caring for animals before and after procedures.
- Engage in dog training sessions when necessary to promote positive behaviors.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience
- Familiarity with veterinary critical care practices and animal physiology.
- Knowledge of dental terminology related to animal care.
- Experience with equine care is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to educate pet owners effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
