What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kids Program Counselor position at Driggs Management Inc.?
Summary/Objective
The Kids Program Counselor will be responsible for setting up, supporting, and closing down children’s day camps at Tributary. They will also be responsible for caring for or renting recreation gear. Gear may include, but is not limited to, bikes, lawn games, paddle boards, bikes. The Kids Program Counselor will support other recreational activities and events throughout the summer.

Essential Functions
- Support and help maintain manage a positive “kids camp” culture that is safe, curious, and fun.
- Assist with facilitating engaging daily activities for children ages 4-10
- Support the implementation of weekly activity plans.
- Help manage participants’ physical and emotional safety and respond to emergencies as they arise according to Tributary’s policies and support structures.
- Assist with communicating schedules and program expectations with families.
- Help incorporate club and regional knowledge and experiences content into programming.
- Safely drive large passenger vehicles or vehicles with trailers as required.
- Adhere to all federal, regional, and local laws and guidelines.
Marginal Functions
- Become familiar with amenities and offerings at Tributary
- Promote recreational experiences both on and off property.
- Assist various departments as needed.
- Maintain program supplies and materials
- Assist with club events, special programming and activities as needed.
- Assist with recreation gear rentals, organization, cleaning and upkeep of gear as requested.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
The position operates mostly outdoors around the club through all weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but not limited to, slipping, tripping, falls, cuts, sun exposure, and other injury-related hazards.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This may be a Full Time, Part-time, or On-Call, and seasonal position. Days and hours of work are based on availability and need. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and days and nights, with flexible hours. The schedule is subject to change, and applicants must be flexible with schedule adjustments.
Travel
There may be minimal travel within the valley and over to Jackson Hole.
Required Education and Experience
- Valid Driver’s license
- Prior experience in a customer-centric, customer-facing position.
- Prior experience in or knowledge of the area or enthusiasm for learning
- Successful applicants must pass a criminal history background check and driving record review prior to the start date
Preferred Education and Experience
- Wilderness First Responder
- Previous teaching, or similar type of experience
- Experience planning and engaging groups of children in hands-on educational programming
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Must be able to speak fluent English.
- Must be able to represent themselves in a positive and professional manner that will promote the club features and activities.
Work Authorization
Must have valid work authorization to work in the United States for I-9 form purposes.
