Summary/Objective
The Contractual Esthetician plays a key role in delivering a high-end, results-driven skincare experience to Members and their Guests. This independent contractor position is responsible for providing exceptional esthetic services while maintaining the elevated standards, professionalism, and welcoming atmosphere of the Wellness Center. The Esthetician operates with autonomy while collaborating with the wellness team to ensure a seamless and luxurious guest experience.
Essential Functions
- Provide professional, customized skincare treatments including facials, advanced treatments, and skin consultations.
- Deliver exceptional service with a focus on guest comfort, results, and overall experience.
- Perform thorough client consultations to assess skin conditions, needs, and treatment plans.
- Prepare treatment rooms prior to each service, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper setup.
- Maintain treatment room sanitation and adhere to all state board hygiene and safety regulations.
- Educate clients on skincare routines and recommend appropriate retail products.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client treatment records.
- Communicate effectively with Wellness Attendants regarding scheduling, guest needs, and service flow.
- Manage personal schedule, punctuality, and timely completion of services.
- Ensure all services are properly recorded and communicated for accurate member billing.
- Maintain inventory awareness and communicate product or supply needs.
- Uphold all Wellness Center standards, procedures, and core values.
Marginal Functions
- Promote additional spa, wellness, and club offerings to enhance the guest experience.
- Participate in seasonal promotions, events, or special wellness offerings as applicable.
- Maintain professional relationships with members, guests, and staff.

Client Service Excellence Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position operates primarily indoors within a spa and wellness environment. The role requires maintaining a clean, calm, and professional treatment space. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but not limited to, slipping, tripping, or minor exposure to chemicals in skincare products.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. The Esthetician is regularly required to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and arm movements.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is an independent contractor position with flexible scheduling based on business demand and Esthetician availability. Current priority scheduling needs are Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Availability on these days is strongly preferred. Hours may include daytime, evening, and occasional holiday shifts. Schedule coordination will occur in partnership with the Wellness Center team.

Required Education and Experience
- Valid Idaho Esthetician License
- Proven experience providing professional skincare services
- Strong client service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a contractor role
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience with advanced skincare treatments (peels, microdermabrasion, etc.)
- Retail sales experience and product knowledge
- Experience in a spa, resort, or wellness setting
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Must maintain current licensure in accordance with Idaho State Board requirements
- Current liability insurance (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Participation in First Aid/CPR/AED Certification is preferred
Work Authorization
Must have valid work authorization to work in the United States for I-9 form purposes.
