This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Driftwood Golf and Ranch Club, which is in Driftwood, Texas outside of Austin.

Driftwood Golf and Ranch Club is seeking a Server Assistant to join the Food and Beverage department. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Always provide exceptional service and communication with members/guests and team members.
• Assist the food and beverage department by helping deliver food and drinks to tables.
• Clear and reset tables as our guests leave, including cleaning and arranging tableware, utensils, and any other necessary items.
• Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens
• Assist with restaurant opening and closing duties
• Greet guests, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. Respond to guest requests and inform management of any complaints.
• Prepare the dining area before service, including setting tables and filling water glasses.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including sweeping floors and wiping down surfaces. Handle spills and ensure the restaurant is tidy.
• Ensure that the server station is stocked with necessary supplies, such as napkins, utensils, and condiments.
• Assist with maintaining complimentary snack stations in the building.
• Help execute banquets and large events when the space has been rented out.
• Any other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred but not always necessary.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a customer-oriented attitude are essential.

• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
• Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
