Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot issues with equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motors, conveyors, and HVAC systems to minimize downtime.
- Conduct repairs involving welding, electrical work, or mechanical adjustments with precision and safety in mind.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose problems accurately.
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects including residential painting or structural repairs as needed.
- Lead or support team efforts in manufacturing environments by maintaining equipment reliability and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols while operating tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic instruments.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for maintenance support.
- Support leadership in training junior team members or supervising small projects to foster a collaborative work environment.
Skills
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to troubleshoot circuits using tools like ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery components, schematics interpretation, and repair techniques.
- Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and programming basics.
- Skilled in welding techniques for fabrication or repair tasks requiring structural integrity.
- Experience with facilities maintenance including plumbing, HVAC systems, residential painting, or general building upkeep.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and maintenance scheduling.
- Supervising experience in a manufacturing or facilities setting is preferred to lead small teams or projects effectively.
