Job Description
DRIFT Marine is looking for an experienced and certified Outboard Marine Technician / Mechanic to join our growing team in South Florida. We are seeking a motivated technician with strong diagnostic and repair experience, especially with Yamaha and Suzuki outboards.
This position involves working on a wide range of vessels performing diagnostics, repairs, rigging, maintenance, and electrical troubleshooting both in-shop and occasionally mobile/on-site.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, communicates well with the team, and can work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair Yamaha and Suzuki outboard engines
- Perform routine maintenance and service
- Troubleshoot electrical and rigging issues
- Install and rig marine electronics and accessories
- Complete engine services, steering work, pumps, batteries, and related systems
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Document work performed and communicate findings clearly
Qualifications
- Marine technician/mechanic experience required
- Yamaha and/or Suzuki certification
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience with electrical systems and rigging
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Valid driver’s license
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Preferred Experience
- Yamaha Master Tech certification
- Suzuki Marine certification
- ABYC certification
- Garmin or marine electronics installation experience
- Experience working in a mobile marine service environment
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
