Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager with experience in marine construction and a strong background in estimating. This dual-role position involves managing the full lifecycle of marine construction projects while supporting or leading pre-construction estimating activities. The ideal candidate will be able to coordinate resources, schedules, budgets, and stakeholders while contributing to accurate and competitive project bids.
Key Responsibilities: Project Management
- Plan, execute, and close marine construction projects on time and within budget.
- Manage daily operations, subcontractors, materials, and client communications.
- Oversee safety, quality control, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Track project milestones and generate regular progress reports.
- Lead project meetings and coordinate logistics with internal teams and clients.
Estimating
- Assist in developing cost estimates and proposals for marine construction projects.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotes.
- Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs for bid preparation.
- Participate in bid reviews, presentations, and value engineering discussions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience in marine or heavy civil construction.
- Proven track record of managing projects and developing accurate estimates.
- Strong knowledge of marine construction methods, equipment, and materials.
- Proficient with construction estimating software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret marine design plans and technical specifications.
- PMP certification or similar is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Combination of office, site visits, and occasional travel to project locations.
- Exposure to marine environments, including docks, barges, and waterfront sites.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
