Marine Construction Project Manager/Estimator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager with experience in marine construction and a strong background in estimating. This dual-role position involves managing the full lifecycle of marine construction projects while supporting or leading pre-construction estimating activities. The ideal candidate will be able to coordinate resources, schedules, budgets, and stakeholders while contributing to accurate and competitive project bids.

Key Responsibilities: Project Management

• Plan, execute, and close marine construction projects on time and within budget.
• Manage daily operations, subcontractors, materials, and client communications.
• Oversee safety, quality control, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Track project milestones and generate regular progress reports.
• Lead project meetings and coordinate logistics with internal teams and clients.

Estimating

• Assist in developing cost estimates and proposals for marine construction projects.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotes.
• Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs for bid preparation.
• Participate in bid reviews, presentations, and value engineering discussions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5 years of experience in marine or heavy civil construction.
• Proven track record of managing projects and developing accurate estimates.
• Strong knowledge of marine construction methods, equipment, and materials.
• Proficient with construction estimating software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret marine design plans and technical specifications.
• PMP certification or similar is a plus.

Work Environment:

• Combination of office, site visits, and occasional travel to project locations.
• Exposure to marine environments, including docks, barges, and waterfront sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
